Bangalore Urban Poor Special Project ( cross-cutting)
The project will focus on
Improving access to basic civic amenities and community level outcomes through establishing linkages with appropriate Government Departments
Access to individual and House hold level entitlements: Establishing Community Managed Resource Centres (CMRC) at the local level to facilitate access to schemes and services of Government and other stakeholders that are relevant to the communities in a sustainable manner
Improving conditions of health care and nutrition through linkages with existing welfare schemes – Preventing illness & diseases that are preventable and promote good health and wellbeing practices
Improving educational outcomes through linkages and strengthening of existing educational ecosystem
Organizing vulnerable groups ( sexual and gender minorities, sex workers, people living with HIV, waste pickers, persons with disabilities, manual scavengers, construction workers, domestic workers and street vendors ) in urban settlement
We are working with 19890 households across 45 settlements in 11 wards of Bangalore City .
