Breaking the Cycle’ – Project for Supporting the Education of Children of Sex-workers
Intervention
This project seeks to break this cycle of social and economic marginalization through interventions based on consultations, Sangama and Karnataka Sex Workers Union (KSWU) had with the sex workers who are anxious to ensure their children’s enjoy educational and employment opportunities equal to those of other children. These interventions range from immediate financial and social support in the form of scholarships and mentorship to creating a better understanding of the obstacles faced by sex workers and their children and the limitations of existing intervention models oriented to sex workers’ children.

Total Indirect Beneficiaries: It is expected that this project will have a positive ripple effect across sex worker communities.
